We humans are always captivated by the unknown and the mysterious that challenges our understanding.
In some moments, we find ourselves in a gray area between reality and fantasy, where doubt arouses curiosity.
Have you ever ended up in an endless YouTube binge about higher powers?
Or is your guilty pleasure delving into the paranormal, such as 'Åndenes Makt' (The Power of Spirits)?

What if we tell you that our upcoming opera is precisely a fusion of the mysterious and the incomprehensible - and in addition, it comes with a whole bunch of drama, as befits the opera genre!

Gian Carlo Menotti explores the boundaries between the visible and the invisible, precisely this matter of reality and fantasy. The plot centers around Madame Flora, played by Rogaland's emerging mezzo-soprano Marie Elise Herredsvela, who faces inexplicable events in her own home. When a séance takes an unexpected turn, the audience is taken on an emotionally charged journey through love, loss, and mysteries.

Insimul Sinfonietta
Insimul is a sinfonietta based in Stavanger and consists of a reduced orchestral ensemble. Insimul aims to offer modern music that challenges the listener, often in the form of commissioned works from some of the many exciting new Scandinavian composers. We also perform concerts with 'modern classics' written by some of the great composers of the last 140 years. It is also important for us to offer an affordable concert alternative for children and young people in the region, which we do through exciting annual children's and family concerts. We consist of professional musicians with ties to Rogaland.
